About Us
Hi there! We’re Qloud Games, an Australian-headquartered, fully-remote indie studio with team members hailing from around the globe.
We’re the developers of Loftia: a cozy, solarpunk life-sim MMO that blends the creative and cozy elements of titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, together with a social and online world with thousands of other players. We ran a US$1.3m Kickstarter campaign in 2023, have an online community of 700,000 followers on social media, and over 60,000 excited players in our Discord. For more information about the game, check out our Kickstarter page and Steam page.
Loftia’s Early Access launch is in just a few months’ time, so we are looking for a Social Content Creator & Manager to join our community team and help us with this launch to showcase the game to millions of players around the world!
This will be a fast-paced role primarily involving the creation of short-form content about the game, to be shared with our community on social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and others.
This role will start as a short-term contract (4 months) with potential to transition into a more permanent role.
Responsibilities
The key responsibility will center around creating short-form video content that will be posted directly on Loftia’s social media accounts. This short-form content will be focused on sharing announcements about the game, providing sneak peeks at development, spreading the word about community events and initiatives, and more. Concretely, this process will involve:
- brainstorming and coming up with ideas on videos and content to create, based on the game features that are being developed
- communicating with the community team and development teams to align on video and content ideas
- recording footage from the game client
- coordinating and organizing recording sessions with multiple people for multiplayer footage
- editing videos in post in a video editor, to create the final output
- scripting, iterating on and owning the entire production process to bring the content and videos from ideas to reality
In addition to the above, you’ll also work together with the rest of the marketing team and touch on these areas of responsibilities:
- scheduling, posting and cross-posting of video content across different social media platforms
- actively engaging with members of the community on social platforms
- writing and posting non-video content (including: carousel static posts, static image stories, and written posts such as tweets on X)
What You Bring
Creative Skills:
- A good sense of what performs well on social media and the ability to translate Loftia-related material into content that feels fun, shareable, and on-trend
- Strong visual storytelling skills
- Strong sense of visual taste, and a deep understanding of what constitutes work that is high quality, polished and aesthetic
- Proactive, a quick learner and self-directed: you solve problems without waiting to be asked
Technical Skills:
- Experience with video editing tools such as After Effects or DaVinci Resolve (other tools like CapCut are also acceptable)
- (Bonus – not compulsory) Experience working with game and video capture pipelines and performance-friendly cinematic workflows
- (Bonus – not compulsory) Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 or 5, especially the Sequencer Tool
- (Bonus – not compulsory) A solid generalist 3D art foundation, particularly animation, lighting and set-dressing
Role Details
- Engagement type: Full-time
- Contract type: 4-month contract to start, with potential for extension or transition to a more permanent arrangement down the line
- Location: Fully-remote (based in Sydney, Australia is a bonus, but not required)
- Start date: Immediately
- Pay rate: Negotiable, based on location and experience
